FESTIVAL OF WINTER WALKS 2011 - 2012

Boston Group's FWW ramble was from Frampton Marsh on Boxing Day. The seven kilometre walk with 28 people was led by John Bird around the Old Sea Bank , by the River Haven and by the RSPB Frampton Marsh Reserve. The sun came out for the river and reserve part which  showed to good effect in these photos. The following photos were taken by Melanie White. Click for enlarged image.

The Ramblers Festival of Winter Walks programme  once again been held and offered walks across Lincolnshire. The walks were free   --  In case you missed it here is a list of  this year's  Lincolnshire walks offered.

- Monday  26 December :  BOXING DAY

  •  Meet  10am at HORNCASTLE Market Place for a 4 mile walk with the Horncastle Ramblers. Details tel: 01507-527702. 
  • Meet  10.30am at FRAMPTON MARSH  RSPB  reserve for a 5 mile walk with the Boston Ramblers.Details tel: 01205 - 310717.
  •  Meet  10.30am at NORTH HYKEHAM  Memorial Hall for a 5 mile walk with the Lincoln Ramblers.  Details tel: 01522 - 883142.  

 

   Tuesday  27  DECEMBER: 

  • Meet  10.30am at SPALDING Castle Sports Complex, Albion Street   for a 5 mile walk with the Spalding Ramblers group.  Details tel: 01775 - 768359.  


  Wednesday  28  DECEMBER :

  •  Meet  10am at  TEALBY  Walesby Lane  for a 10 mile walk with the Grimsby-Louth Ramblers.Details tel: 01507 - 607630. 
  •  Meet 10.30am at  Royal Oak at AUBOURN for our monthly Lincoln Group Ramblers Wednesday Amble. Distance is 4-6 miles. Details tel: 01522 882825 


 Thursday  29  DECEMBER : 

  • Meet at 10.15 at GRANTHAM  Wyndham Park  for a 5 mile walk with the Grantham Ramblers.All welcome. Details tel: 01476 - 561345..

   Sunday  1  January 2012 :  NEW YEAR'S DAY 

  • Meet  10.30am at  SPALDING The Vista for a 5 mile walk with the Spalding Ramblers.  Details tel: 01775 - 767882.

How to find a led walk

1.You can find details of forthcoming led walks by Lincs RA Groups by going to menu item Group Walks and selecting a Group. This gives briet details of location and leader contact. Click on thr indicated link to get mapped details of the start point. You can print this programme.

2.You can link to the RA National Walks Finder and find walks near to a chosen centrepoint by a named Group or 'any Group'

3.Paid up members of an Lincolnshire Area RA Group receive a booklet showing the led walks programmes for the year for 11 of the county Groups. Details of additional walks or walk changes are supplied through Group newsletters , on the web or sometimes via e mail messages. Details given on this web site are abbreviated versions of thse given in the booklet.
